The Process|

A watertight plan is essential, not just to deliver a website project on time, but it also creates a good set of ground rules for both you and me. Which inturn keeps the project stay in budget and get the project over the line effectively.

Intial Meeting

If you are local to Cornwall I am happy to travel and meet you in a suitable place. Price for this depends on mileage. However if you are further away or prefer a remote meeting over please book here.

Design

I’ll start by wireframing the initial layout of the base pages. Swiftly moving onto designing website assets and pages for the site.

I can also help with creating you a set of branding guidelines and assets. Which is especially helpful for a new startup or a company looking for a refresh!

Technical

At the beginning of this stage we will go over your future website’s infrastructure and decide on important questions like web hosting and domains.

With all the important questions answered and the much needed resources acquired, we will move forward with carefully planning your website’s sitemap of pages and content structure. This will require a little bit of your time, but hopefully not too much!

After this I will progress with building your site. This will most likely be done on what’s formerly known as development/staging site but in simple terms it’s a website that is protected behind password protection. So essentially, whilst the site is still being built, only people with those credentials can login. You will be given these details so you can view progress at any time.

The "Go Live" Checklist

Finally this is where you have approved the final state of the staging site and it will be ported to your custom domain. All SEO and optimisation will be done once the site is on its final domain and the DNS has fully migrated over.

Post Launch Support and Changes

This is when the real fun begins!

With anything new, there does tend to be of change over the first 6 months to a year. This is normal, and all part of the process of wearing in the site and features to what works for you, your staff and most importantly your paying clients. Whilst not usually big changes, you will be told before anything is changed and any fees that may occur to undertake those edits.

It’s worth noting that I have my own platform where you can check all your current renewals/subscriptions and access everything you pay for.

I do not gatekeep things you pay for unlike other companies. If you’d prefer not to use this, it’s not mandatory but you will need to add your card to allow hosting or other renewals to be collected through here. Anything you do pay for here will have a corresponding invoice or documentation, to make for easy admin and accounting your end.
